They chose the lush gazebo garden at Stone Chalet in mid-June as the perfect setting for their elegant yet relaxed ceremony. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, they exchanged vows in an atmosphere of love and serenity. Following their ceremony, they hosted a delightful lunch reception with 14 of their closest friends and family at the iconic Gandy Dancer in Ann Arbor, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
In June, our gazebo garden comes alive with character and charm. Aged vines and towering pine trees gracefully frame the bridal walkway, creating a lush, private backdrop of greenery. This natural setting beautifully accentuates the vibrant colors and elegance of our brides as they make their way down the curved pathway, adding an enchanting touch to their unforgettable journey.

The success of every elopement at Stone Chalet is a testament to our phenomenal wedding team. At the heart of this team is Daisy, the owner of Fox n' Flowers, specializing in event planning and décor for the past 10 years. Once Casie and Kevin chose to celebrate their special day with us, Daisy reached out to Casie to discuss color inspirations and bring her vision to life. After selecting the perfect flowers, the Stone Chalet team made the necessary arrangements, and Daisy worked her magic to create a stunning bridal bouquet. Meanwhile, our staff drew inspiration from the season to beautifully decorate the gazebo, transforming the garden into a breathtaking backdrop for the couple's unforgettable moments.
The Arrival and the Bridal Suite
Guests typically arrive about 15 minutes before the ceremony begins. Upon arrival, they can choose a seat from those already beautifully arranged or take a moment to mingle with family and friends. As they wait, guests can enjoy the serene ambiance of the carefully groomed garden, vibrant flowers, and thoughtfully curated décor that sets the perfect tone for the celebration.
The bride will arrive directly at our elegant bridal suite to begin her preparations. Designed with comfort and style in mind, the suite features beautiful lighting, spacious closets, and large mirrors, creating the perfect space for getting ready. It’s roomy enough to accommodate the entire bridal party, ensuring everyone feels relaxed and prepared for the big day.

During the preparation, our talented photographer will arrive to begin capturing special details, starting with the rings and, if included, the wedding cake. Britt from BAMPhoto, our in-house wedding photographer for the past 5 years, is truly a magician with a camera. Her expertise in lighting and composition transforms every corner of the Stone Chalet into a stunning backdrop. Britt's dedication ensures that every precious moment is beautifully preserved, creating timeless memories for our wedding couples.
The ceremony and wedding certificate signing
Our event coordinator and assistants will guide the bride and groom through every step of the processional sequence, including how to gracefully enter and exit the gazebo, where to stand for the best photos, and the importance of walking slowly and confidently with a smile. For example, Casie walked down the bridal walkway with her father, radiating happiness, while Kevin awaited her in the gazebo, his joy and excitement evident in his ear-to-ear smile. Their moment was beautifully accompanied by the melodic sounds of their guitarist, an optional add-on to create an even more enchanting atmosphere.
Stone Chalet Officiant - Vincent Zhang
The bride and groom can choose from three vow options: traditional, religious, or modern. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to exchange personalized vows if they wish to share something uniquely meaningful. After the exchange of vows and rings, the couple will joyfully exit the gazebo to the sound of family cheers and celebratory music.
The wedding certificate signing usually happens right after the walk off, followed by group photos and more photo shootings around the beautiful Stone Chalet for the couple.
